Refund and Return Policy
Buying from Richarsons' Maptech is Easy and Guaranteed!
Our customers determine our success. We want you to feel secure and find it easy to purchase our products. For you to buy from us we believe we must guarantee three things. So here it is, as simply as we can say it.
- Everything we sell has a 30-day money-back guarantee, with some exceptions (see Exceptions and Return Criteria below). Customers are responsible for shipping fees on most returned items. Exchanges for non-defective items will require payment of our standard ground shipping fee for the return trip. This fee does not apply to situations involving defective items or items sent incorrectly by us. In those cases, we will pick up the tab.

- We will not misuse the order information you provide us.
Exceptions on Returns
We may deny any return or exchange if it fails to meet our Return Criteria, which is below.
- Print on demand charts are not refundable, and there are no exceptions.
- Opened software, electronic downloads, and software upgrades are ineligible for returns.
All products must be returned with reasonable care having been taken (such as no visible wear or damage, and must be in a condition that permits us to resell them).
All returns and exchanges must be accompanied by the original documentation, instruction manuals, registration, parts and components, and the original manufacturer packaging. Please contact us for further information about what to return.
Failure to include items may prevent or delay your refund or exchange.
Richardsons' Maptech will not accept the following items for return: (i) items that have been personalized or customized: (ii) special order items, if not part of a Maptech promotional retail sales offering, (iii) items that have been used, altered or that show wear or damage, and (iv) clearance items or those marked with a designation such as “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable.” Please be sure to read the product description carefully before placing your order to ensure that the item will meet your needs.
All boxed software must be returned with its seal intact and the materials must not have been opened, altered, or damaged. You may only return opened software during the return period if: (i) you don’t agree with the license agreement, or (ii) the media does not work, AND (iii) only if you do not make or retain any copies. Opened software may only be exchanged for the same or similar product.
Please contact Sales and Support to request a return no later than thirty (30) days after the date of purchase. Once you follow the instructions and complete the return process with the customer support agent, we’ll send you a confirmation email with additional return details, if applicable.
When you make a qualifying return, we will credit the full amount, less the original shipping and handling charges, if any, and you will receive your refund in approximately 3-5 business days. Refunds will be made in the same method as payment unless you select to exchange the item.
